Geraldine Sherman was at one point a very respected character actress in Britain. In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, every American audience knew her face, if not her name, from such films as Interlude and There’s a Girl in My Soup. However, after the dreadful John Hurt outing Mr. Forbush and the Penguins, she dropped off the face of the Earth, only to reappear two decades later in the British series Running Late, and Thin Ice, which she herself penned.
